Description
The Anaiza Nest Ru kiln tea set is a complete tea set for four that closes into one carry case, made for tea lovers and for giving. Blue lotus scrolls wind across a soft Ru-style crackle glaze on a 220 ml teapot with a cane-wrapped handle, four 45 ml cups and a 200 ml tea caddy. Each piece sits in its own linen-lined place, and the case shuts with a clasp and carries by its handle. Packed by hand in Dhaka, with cash on delivery.
Everything for a slow pot of tea, packed into one case.
Why is the Ru kiln tea set a good gift?
This is a complete tea set that closes into one case: a teapot, four small cups and a tea caddy, each resting in its own linen-lined place. Open it on the dining table for guests, on an office desk, or on a holiday, and close it again when the tea is done. Blue lotus scrolls wind across a soft crackle glaze on every piece, so the set looks like it belongs together. With its metal handle and clasp, the case is carried in and handed over as it is.
What is Ru kiln ware?
Ru ware comes from the Northern Song dynasty in China, almost a thousand years ago, and is known for its soft glaze and fine crackle lines. This set is made in the Ru style, fired at high temperature in Dehua, a town long known for its porcelain, and painted with an entwined lotus pattern in blue. The crackle is part of the glaze, not a fault: over months of use, tea slowly settles into the lines and darkens them, which many tea lovers prize.

Who is it for?
The small teapot and cups suit gongfu-style brewing: plenty of leaves, short steeps and many small rounds shared among four people. It suits a tea lover, a couple setting up their first home, or a client who keeps tea at the office. The fitted case makes it a natural travel set too.

How do I care for it?
Rinse each piece soon after use and wash by hand in warm water, without scouring pads. Warm the teapot with a little hot water before pouring in boiling water. Tea slowly darkens the crackle lines over time; this is normal. Dry every piece fully before closing the case.
