The Anaiza Nest blue and white gongfu tea set is a complete tea table in one carry case, made for a serious tea lover or a family that hosts often. What does each piece do?
- Gaiwan or teapot: brew in either; the gaiwan lets you see and smell the leaves, the teapot is easier to pour.
- Fairness pitcher: the tea is poured into it first, so every cup has the same strength.
- Tea wash bowl: catches the water used to warm the cups and rinse the leaves.
- Tea tools: the traditional "six gentlemen" for scooping leaves, clearing the spout and lifting hot cups.
Will the glaze change with use?
Yes, gently. The antique-style glaze has fine crackle, and over months of use tea settles into the lines and darkens them. Tea lovers call this "raising" a set.

How do I care for it?
Rinse each piece soon after use and wash by hand in warm water, without scouring pads. Warm the teapot and gaiwan before pouring in boiling water. Tea slowly darkens the fine crackle lines; this is normal. Not for the microwave or dishwasher. Dry every piece fully before closing the case.
