Solid wood ashtray with lid and stainless steel bowl, round or square

For the smoker in the family: a tidier, quieter corner of the room.

Why give a wooden ashtray with a lid?

If someone you love smokes, a good ashtray keeps the room calmer for everyone. This one is turned from solid wood in a deep walnut-brown finish, with a removable bowl of gold-tone brushed stainless steel and a wooden lid topped with a small brass-tone knob. Close the lid and the ash is out of sight. It sits well on a desk, a balcony table or a study shelf, and suits a father, an uncle or a boss who likes things done properly.

Round or square: which shape should you choose?

ShapeSizeWeightPrice
Round | 12 cm across | About 252 g | ৳1,230
Square | 12.5 cm across | About 335 g | ৳1,430

Both shapes have the same wood, steel bowl and lid. The round one is lighter and softer in shape; the square one is heavier and sits very firmly on a desk. Pick yours from the shape options on this page.

How does it work?

• Steel bowl: lifts out to empty and wash, and takes the heat so the wood is protected.
• Rests in the rim: notches around the edge hold a cigarette while it is put down.
• Lid: covers the ash between uses, so the room looks tidy and the ash does not blow about near a window or fan.

How do you care for it?

Empty the steel bowl once it is fully cold, then wash it in warm soapy water and dry it. Wipe the wood with a soft, dry cloth; do not soak it or put it under running water. Never empty a hot ashtray into a bin.
